Endorsement for PresidentI would be remiss in my Christian duty if I did not share with my visitors
my feelings about the presidential race this year. I believe we as Christians need to step up to the plate and let our voice
be heard. It's time to stop listening to what the media, and even the "conservative" establishment is telling
us and check out the facts for ourselves, and then act on them.
I heard recently that a Christian congressman told
another Christian who was running for office that he should not depend on the Christians to help him win. He stated that many
Christians won't bother to vote, and of those who do, very few will give any financial support.
I have to be
honest, that one really hit me. I have always prayed about presidential elections, but I somehow thought God would just miraculously
reach down and "make it happen". It hadn't really occurred to me that we are His hands. We are the ones He uses
to make it happen. I began to seek Him for guidance on what I should do about this year's election.
A friend
sent me her endorsement of Mike Huckabee for president. I really didn't know anything about him, so I decided to check
out his website. The first thing that struck me was the motto at the top of his page. "Faith. Family. Freedom."
I wondered if there could possibly be a candidate who actually would be open about his faith, and have a solid moral footing.
I began to read Mike's stand on the different issues facing our nation, and quickly realized he truly is a Christian
that is willing to stand for what is right no matter what the fallout of that might be. If I had any doubts, they were erased
the night I listened to a sermon he preached called "Pastors and Pews", which I found on YouTube. Another great resource for seeing the type of person Mike Huckabee is is the discussion he had with Kenneth Copeland on character back in November of 2007.
I find it amazing that a person would not only openly stand up for what
he believes, but also succeed in politics in the process. I can only surmise that the hand of God is on this candidacy.
I have begun to make financial contributions as I can in order to support his candidacy. Mike does not have
the kind of monetary support that the ungodly candidates have. If he is to succeed, he really needs Christians and others
who agree with his ideas (that means you) to stand behind him and support him.
I have placed a link to his website
below. If you can even give just $5, $10, or $50, please do so. If enough people do something, it can add up to a lot of support.
But don't just take my word for it. Read his website. See his stand on the issues, and pray about what God wants
you to do. The most important thing is...DO SOMETHING.
God Bless!!!
